What is the number one takeaway you’re hoping to get from this course?

Having been a writer for my own Ad Agency for 30 years, I'm familiar with the traditional methods of providing intriguing reasons to choose my client's products or services over the competition's. What I now need to learn is how to change things up to not only get opens which I've done well, but more importantly to generate conversions that fill my email box and bank account with $$$$s.

In addition to developing consistent conversions, I need a system for developing an email list. I don't have a list, and I'm not certain the best way to develop one. I'm looking for a process for acquiring a list organically.

As you think about your current email copy-writing skills, where do you struggle most?

It's obvious to me, based on Matt's presentation yesterday, that I haven't done near enough in the way of split testing email subject lines, copy etc. Also, my use of email writing tools like scarcity & urgency has been woefully lacking. I believe I've been equally remiss at using language in my emails that my perfect customers, clients or subscribers could easily relate to.
